College Applications can feel a little overwhelming. One of the most common and useful way of applying is by using the Common Application.
Though not all schools are on the common app, there are nearly nine hundred colleges available to you! The Common App allows you to apply to many colleges while only having to fill out one application.
Your only worry now is writing all those supplemental essays!
If you are interested in a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) school, they have their own application process. Students often need assistance with their A-G requirements.
Mrs Gomer will host Common App and UC /Cal State University application workshops throughout the fall of your senior year. You can also schedule an appointment with Mrs Gomer if you need help at anytime during the application process.

College applications are important because they allow admissions officers get to know what you're passionate about and how you perform academically. they also want to know how you contribute to your community. The application includes personal information, academic information (GPA/test scores), extracurriculars, leaderships positions, letters of recommendation, transcript of grades and the Essay.
Essays are an integral piece of the application because they allow admissions to get to know you beyond your GPA and test scores.
