SAT & ACT
How do I Sign Up and Prepare for these Tests?!
SAT & ACT scores are an important peice in the college application process. They allow college admissions to see you on a standardized scale. For SAT, you sign up through College Board, the corporation that coordinates all AP, PSAT and SAT testing worldwide.
College Board partners with Khan Academy, which provides free--yes, FREE--personalized SAT test prep. All you have to do is click the link, create or login into your account, and link your College Board Account to your Khan Academy one!
Students who studied for 20 hours through the personalized lessons on Khan Academy showed an average 115-point increase between their earlier and preliminary PSAT/NMSQT exam and the actual SAT
For ACT, you sign up through ACT.org. In Hawaii, students can take the ACT for free through Kekaulike High School in February of their junior year.
Students on Free and Reduced Lunch can come to the College and Career Center in H-201 to get a fee waiver for SAT and ACT.
